Principal's Message

Welcome to the Home of the Hawks

Message from Mr. Mason

The sun is setting earlier, the breezes are becoming cooler, and fall is in the air.  This time of year always brings about excitement and intrigue for all families as a new school year is on the horizon.   Like always, the summer seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye.  As we put the final preparations into place for September, we do so with a heavy heart.  Ms. Hammond, the building principal, will not be available due to suffering a stroke in late July.  We wish her the best and send positivity as she takes the necessary time to make a full recovery.  Knowing Ms. Hammond, she will be thinking about CTMS just as much as we will be thinking of her.

We at CTMS view your child’s education as a partnership.  We recognize that in order to be successful in school and in life, our children require support from both home and school. As we enter the new school year, the CTMS motto Community & Teamwork Motivate Success has never been more pertinent.  This school year the Clinton Township School District has put an emphasis on social and emotional learning with the development of district initiatives.  Students will only reach their full potential academically if their social and emotional needs are met.  Academics and social and emotional learning (A+SEL) are symbiotic.  In collaborating with families and a focus on A+SEL, our children will achieve their highest potential.

As we navigate the challenges of Covid, our partnership will continue to prove vital.  The maintenance and custodial staff have been busy preparing the building to meet the ever evolving Covid protocols to ensure all members of the CTMS community have a safe and fruitful beginning to the school year.  The lens of health and safety will be a constant in 21-22.

We have compiled these forms into a sports packet that you will find on the CTMS Health Office  website.

Under no circumstances will a student be cleared for participation in a sport if all forms are not completed and on file in the health office by the dates listed above.

I can send you the information in a Google doc if that would be better.
Please reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Luke Mason
